A Final Farewell

Dear blog readers,

This is going to be my last post for the road trip because the first leg of the trip has completed its last turn around the track and now I get to pass the baton to the next group of NYLI members: Barlen Matias, Lilliam Bervis, Alex Ell and Brad Allain, who I am sure will keep you interested as the tour continues to the Texas Motor Speedway.

Before the next crew starts, I want to say a few thank you’s to those who helped make this trip so memorable. Thanks to everyone in the Indianapolis chapter –especially Michelle Rice and Chad Feay — for your help and dedication in putting together a great Community Day and for making us feel so welcome in Indianapolis. A big thanks to the countless members of Bayer and NHF who put in a lot of long hours to make this Team Hemophilia road trip a reality and a big success–without you guys I would not be writing you this post. A sincere thank you to Justin Ford from Bayer and family for your wonderful generosity and support you gave us while on our road trip. And of course to Jordan Black of Global Prairie, for your countless positive support and good cheer you brought with you wherever we went. And last, and certainly not least to NHF’s Beth Marshall, our “minder,” for the countless little things you did, from going out of your way so we had a nice breakfast on early AM wakeups, supporting and giving us insightful ideas to make our road trip more eventful, and being able to capture this Team Hemophilia experience with your camera in a way we as blog writers cannot put into words.

So, as I pass the bus keys to the next group heading to the Texas Motor Speedway, I have officially ended the first chapter in this road trip and can sincerely say it’s been a pleasure writing these updates for you. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to follow this road trip which has meant so much to me. But don’t you fret and don’t you frown, for there are many more exciting adventures to Team Hemophilia on Tour that are just waiting to be shared!
